20 Nurses and Midwives from Class 2023 Graduated from Affiliate Veliko Tarnovo of MU-Varna

Twenty nurses and midwives from Affiliate Veliko Tarnovo of Medical University-Varna were awarded their diplomas at a solemn ceremony in Nadezhda Community Centre. The top student of Class 2023 in the programme of Midwifery is Tsvetelina Dimitrova, and Eva Hristova is the student with the highest academic distinction among the nurses. In his speech, the Rector of MU-Varna Prof. Dr. Svetoslav Georgiev congratulated the graduates on the results achieved and urged them to be responsible professionals, dignified and good people, dedicated and merciful in their work. “Choosing the professions of Nurse and Midwife is a matter of honour and calling, of high morality and dedication to the most important thing – human life and health," said Prof. Georgiev addressing the graduating students. After the solemn taking of the Oath, the graduates received their diplomas of higher education from the Rector of Medical University–Varna, and Tsvetelina Dimitrova from the programme of Midwifery was awarded a plaque for achieving the highest GPA score. She congratulated her colleagues on their graduation and shared her exhilaration with the Academic Management and the guests in the hall. “What we didn't know was that here each of us would develop not only as a specialist, but also as a personality. That we would become worthy young people, ready to develop and build up their future, to face challenges, both professionally and personally." Assos. Prof. Dr. Vesela Ivancheva expressed her gratitude for the dedicated work and high professionalism of Assoc. Prof. Diana Dimitrova – Director of Affiliate Veliko Tarnovo of MU – Varna from its establishment in 2015 until August 2023. Congratulatory speeches were delivered by the Deputy Mayor of Veliko Tarnovo Municipality Mr. Neyko Genchev, the Deputy Governor Mr. Valentin Mihaylov and Dr. Daniel Iliev, Executive Director of Multi-Profile Regional Hospital for Active Treatment “Dr. Stefan Cherkezov". After the official graduation ceremony, a musical greeting was addressed to all attendees by the Children Vocal Group “Singing Bells" with artistic director Mr. Vladimir Gabrov.
