The Ambassador of Ireland Paid a Visit to Medical University – Varna
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ireland to Bulgaria, H.E. Catherine Bannon, visited Medical University – Varna. New opportunities for partnership with the medical universities in Ireland, both under the Erasmus+ programme and through bilateral agreements, were on the agenda during the official meeting with the Rector Prof. Dr. Dimitar Raykov, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs – Prof. Dr. Albena Kerekovska, the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation – Prof. Dr. Mario Milkov, and the Head of International Cooperation Department – Assoc. Prof. Aneta Dokova.
During the discussion, it was highlighted that Irish citizens have a sustained interest in MU-Varna. Currently, approximately 150 students from Ireland are being educated at the University, and the number of new admissions has doubled compared to last year. Following the meeting, H. E.
