The International Forum MUVATHON 2026

Medical University of Varna presented the results of the implementation of the project "Enhancing Translational Achievements in Medicine (MUVE-TEAM)" within the framework of a final conference, combined with the high-tech forum MUVATHON 2026. The event strengthened the role of the university as a leading center for scientific research, innovation and transfer of knowledge from medicine to practice and brought together prominent scientists, innovators and entrepreneurs from the country and abroad. During the conference, the university management and the MUVE-TEAM Project Steering Committee presented to journalists the achievements of the research teams and scientific units. The implementation of the initiative began in early 2023 with funding from EC NextGenerationEU under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, component "Innovative Bulgaria", Investment 1 "Programme for Accelerating Economic Recovery and Transformation through Science and Innovation", with a budget of EUR 14.3 million and a deadline of June 30, 2026.
