Medical
University "Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" – Varn will organise and host
the International Scientific Forum "Black Sea Neurogenesis". The
conference will be held from 26 to 28 May 2022 in Albena Resort, with
the support of the National Program "European Scientific Networks" of
the Ministry of Education and Science. Neurogenesis is the process of
forming neurons (nerve cells) from stem/progenitor cells. Leading
European scientists in the field of neuroregenerative research from
Bulgaria, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Sweden,
Switzerland, Austria, Greece, etc. will discuss the latest developments
in the field. The meeting will offer opportunities for the exchange of
scientific ideas between young and well-established scientists and
specialists.
The
scientific organiser of the forum is Prof. Anton Tonchev,
neurobiologist and Director of the Research Institute at Medical
University – Varna. Dr. Manlio Vinciguerra, head of an international
team of scientists from the European Research Area (ERA) of the
TRANSTEM project, will also participate at the Forum.
