The Science Fund supports the advancement of research activities at the Medical University of Varna. It promotes the career development of academic staff, with a particular focus on PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and young scientists.
The Science Fund provides competitive funding for relevant and innovative research projects focused on clinical and public health issues.
Calls for research project proposals funded by the Science Fund are initiated by an official order from the Rector and announced on the official website of the Medical University of Varna.
Eligible projects must fall within the fields in which the university offers education to students and doctoral candidates.
The fund supports two types of projects:
- Small-scale projects – intended for enrolled PhD students to support research activities related to their dissertation work.
- Large-scale projects – intended for conducting large-scale scientific.
All projects must align with the institutional interests and research priorities of the Medical University of Varna.
The project leader must be a faculty member at the Medical University of Varna holding a PhD degree, with proven scientific expertise and experience relevant to the project's objectives.
