Both Bulgarian and international candidates who hold a Master's degree are eligible to apply for PhD studies at the Medical University – Varna. The scientific specialty for which the candidate is applying must be within the same professional field as their acquired Master's degree.
Which Type of Doctoral Study Is Right for You?
At the Doctoral School of MU–Varna, you can pursue your PhD studies in one of the following formats:
- Full-time study;
- Part-time study;
- Individual (self-directed) study.
If you have not yet selected a research topic or scientific field, the full-time or part-time study formats are recommended.
If you already have a clearly defined research topic, a chosen scientific specialty and supervisor, and are employed under a labor contract, the individual study format may be more suitable for you.
