The Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Medicine conducts scientific research in the fields of cardiology, rheumatology, gastroenterology, nephrology, pulmonology, endocrinology, and oncology.
Modern doctoral education and the development of young researchers are inseparable from a robust material and technical infrastructure, as well as access to advanced information technologies. In this regard, the Medical University of Varna is committed to providing all necessary conditions to support the research activities of young scientists. All university facilities used for doctoral training are equipped with modern lecture halls and seminar rooms featuring next-generation multimedia projectors with interactive capabilities, computers with uninterrupted internet access (with separate networks for faculty and students), printers, whiteboards, flip charts, TV displays for telecommunication and remote learning.
A dedicated infrastructure for education and research has been established to support doctoral students, tailored to the specific needs of their academic specialization. This includes fully equipped workstations, seminar rooms, laboratory space, computers, and other specialized resources.
Since 1988, the Department has been housed on the 13th floor of the main building of University Hospital “St. Marina" – Varna.
