The team of the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology provides high quality training in human anatomy, histology and embryology, and related scientific disciplines. A key principle that the Department has followed steadily throughout its history is the continuous improvement of methodology, tools and resources to provide state-of-the-art interactive teaching and testing of knowledge.
The Department teaches (in Bulgarian and English) 20 compulsory and 5 elective courses to students from more than 12 specialties from all faculties of the Medical University - Varna.
For the needs of teaching the Department provides five microscopic and computer classrooms. Teaching of macroscopic anatomy is carried out in a renovated dissection sector, built according to modern standards.
