Yana Tosheva, graduated with excellent grades in three educational and qualification degrees: in 2000 as a Sanitary inspector at Mеdical college of Varna, in 2015 as a bachelor in health care management from Medical University of Varna, and master's degree in the same speciality in 2016 with professional qualification "Manager of Health Care and Practical Teaching Instructor."
In 2022, she obtained a speciality in "Medical Pedagogy" and defended her dissertation on the topic "Professional Communication of the Public Health Inspector - Opportunities for Optimization." She was awarded the Educational and scientific degree "Doctor of Public Health" in the scientific specialty "Health Care Management."
Since May 2023, she has been a specialist trainee for acquiring a speciality in "Breastfeeding Consultant and Healthy and Dietary Nutrition" at the Department of Hygiene and Epidemiology of the Faculty of Public Health at the Medical University of Varna. Her professional path from 2001 to 2016 passed as an inspector in state institutions of Hygienic epidemiological inspection, Regional Inspectorate for Public Health Protection and Control, Regional Directorate of Food Safety.
From 2015 to 2016, she was a part-time lecturer in the position " Public Health Inspector," Mеdical college of Varna. Since 2016, she has been an Assistant, and since July 2022, a Chief Assistant Professor in the same sector.
She has completed additional trainings as an internal auditor of Food Safety management systems according to the requirements of FSSC 22000/ISO 22002, HACCP, Food labeling, Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF), Conditions and procedures for pest control, Early Childhood Intervention, NDT-5, DP-3 Nutrition during the first 1000 days, etc.
Her main professional and scientific interests are related to legislation in the field of food, food control and safety; child and student development; professional environment and development of health inspectors.
She has over 30 publications in scientific journals and proceedings from Bulgarian and international conferences. She is a co-author of one textbook related to her teaching activities.
