Prof. Dr. Radosveta Stoyanova Andreeva-Borisova,PhD, D.Sc., was born on February 17, 1972, in the city of Dobrich. In 1991, she graduated with highest honors and a gold medal from the "Geo Milev" Language High School in Dobrich. Prof. Dr. Radosveta Andreeva is fluent in English, French, and Russian. In 1997, she graduated with distinction in Dental Medicine in Plovdiv.
Since 2009, she has been a part-time assistant at the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Pediatric Dental Medicine at the Faculty of Dental Medicine, Medical University – Varna. In 2011, she became a full-time assistant in the Department of Pediatric Dental Medicine at the same faculty. In 2012, she obtained a specialty in Pediatric Dental Medicine. In 2015, she completed a Master's degree in Health Management at the Faculty of Public Health at MU-Varna with excellent results.
In January 2016, Prof. Andreeva defended her dissertation titled "Premature Loss of Primary Teeth in Children with Mixed Dentition. The Need for Space Maintainers" and was awarded the educational and scientific degree "Doctor." She published a monograph titled "Risk Profile and Prevention in Children with Prematurely Extracted Primary Teeth. Comprehensive Treatment – Therapeutic and Orthodontic Aspects."
Since March 2016, Prof. Andreeva has been specializing in Orthodontics at the Medical University – Varna. In the same year, after a competitive process, she was appointed as an Associate Professor and became Head of the Department of Pediatric Dental Medicine, a position she held until June 2022. In 2016, Prof. Andreeva also defended her second dissertation on the topic: "Comprehensive Dental Treatment of Children Under General Anesthesia."
She has supervised seven PhD students, all of whom have earned the educational and scientific degree "Doctor." Prof. Andreeva has also supervised the specialization of five pediatric dental medicine residents, all of whom have now obtained their specialization.
In May 2018, Prof. Dr. Radosveta Andreeva was elected by the Faculty Council as Vice Dean of the Faculty of Dental Medicine. In the same year, she obtained the scientific degree Doctor of Sciences.
In 2020, Prof. Andreeva published her second monograph titled "Pharmacological Management on the Behavior of Children with Special Health Needs Requiring Treatment," and was awarded the academic title Professor.
She is a member of the Bulgarian Dental Association (BDA), Student Union – Varna, Bulgarian National Association of Pediatric Dentistry (BNAPD), and Bulgarian Association of Dental and Dental Laboratory Lecturers (BADDL).
