Born on April 14, 1976 in Silistra, Bulgaria. She completed her secondary education at the “P. K. Yavorov" Language High School in 1995 with a major in English and a second language, French. In 2001 she earned her medical degree from the Medical University of Varna.
From December 2001 she worked consecutively in the Internal Medicine Department of the District Hospital in Silistra, then as a medical representative at Les Laboratoires Servier, where she also took part in monitoring studies; in a specialized outpatient endocrinology practice; and in the Cardiology Clinic of St. Marina University Hospital, Varna.
Since 2008 she has held the position of physician‑resident in the Department of Internal Medicine at St. Marina University Hospital, Varna. In 2010 she was appointed part‑time English‑language teaching assistant in the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases at MU‑Varna. She became a full‑time assistant in 2011, was promoted to senior assistant in 2018, and in 2019 was elected Associate Professor in the same department. Since June 2020 she has been Head of the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases.
She holds two medical specialties—Internal Medicine and Cardiology—and additional qualifications in abdominal ultrasound, echocardiography, and vascular ultrasonography. In 2016 she obtained certification in transthoracic echocardiography from the European Society of Cardiology / European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (ESC/EACVI).
In 2017 she defended a PhD thesis entitled “Prospective Follow‑up of Cardiovascular Status and Cardiovascular Pathology in Patients with Thalassemia Major," and joined the team of the Center of Coagulopathies and Rare Anemias at St. Marina University Hospital, Varna. Her research interests include cardiovascular involvement in anemias, diabetes mellitus, and oncology patients, cardiotoxicity, and ultrasound diagnostics.
She has been voted “Favorite Lecturer" in the English‑language program three times. She speaks English, French, and Russian.
She is the author of one monograph, Anemia and Cardiovascular Changes, co‑author of three collective monographs, and has more than 30 scientific publications domestically and internationally, along with presentations at regional, national, and international conferences.
