Биография

Dr. Dimo Stoyanov graduated from the IV Language High School in Varna in 2009 and the Medical University "Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov", Varna, with a degree in "Medicine" in 2015 with honors. In March 2016, after passing a competitive exam, he was selected as an assistant professor at the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology at the Medical University – Varna. He participates in Bulgarian and English language teaching and conducts practical classes in Human Anatomy and Histology for students of Medicine, Dental Medicine, and Medical Laboratory Technicians, as well as in the lecture course of the Student Interest Group "Neurobiology". In 2022, he obtained a specialty in "Anatomy, Histology and Cytology", and in 2023 he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic "Role of transcription factor Zbtb20 in the development of interneurons in the cerebral cortex of a mouse" and acquired the educational and scientific degree "Doctor". In the same year, he was appointed as a Chief Assistant Professor at the department. He is fluent in English and French. Dr. Stoyanov's research interests are focused in the field of neurobiology and the development of the nervous system. ​
