Биография

Dr. Marin Zhelezov was born on May 25, 1989, in Varna, Bulgaria. In 2008, he graduated from the 5th Language High School in Varna, specializing in German (C1 level). He graduated with honors from the Medical University of Varna in 2014 and immediately began teaching as a part-time assistant at the Department of Anatomy, Histology, and Embryology. Since 2015, he has held a full-time assistant position in the department.

In 2019, he obtained a specialty in Anatomy, Histology, and Cytology. In 2024, he earned a PhD degree with his dissertation titled "Analysis of Microglia During the Prenatal Development of the Human Telencephalon", and since then, he has held the position of Senior Assistant Professor in the department.

Dr. Zhelezov's primary scientific work focuses on microglia and their role in brain development. He has participated in over 10 international scientific projects.
