Dr. Teodorika
Vitalinova Panayotova was born in Varna. She graduated from "Ioan
Exarch" Secondary School in Varna with a major in German and English. In
2018, she graduated with honors from the Medical University of Varna. In
October 2018, she started working as a resident in the Clinic of Medical
Oncology at the "St. Marina" University Hospital in Varna and as an
assistant in the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Medicine. After
successfully passing a competitive exam, she was selected as a full-time
assistant professor at the Department of Oncology. In May 2023, she obtained
PhD degree in “Oncology” with the topic of her dissertation: “Influence of
distance and travel time to the oncology center on the results of the treatment
of lung cancer”, and since 2024 she held the position of chief assistant in the
same department. In December 2023, she obtained a specialty in Medical Oncology
Dr. Panayotova has participated in various events of the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), both for educational purposes and to present abstracts with original scientific results. She is an active participant in various research projects and the author of over 15 full-text publications, some of which have been included in acknowledged international journals.
