Биография

Born in the town of Silistra, where she graduated with full honors from the High School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. In 2008, she completed her degree in Medicine at the Medical University of Pleven. Between 2008 and 2009, she worked as a resident physician in the Department of Nuclear Medicine at the Comprehensive Cancer Center in Burgas.

Since August 2009, she has been specializing and working at the Clinic of Nuclear Medicine and Metabolic Therapy at University Hospital “St. Marina" in Varna, where she continues to work to this day. In 2013, she obtained a specialty in Nuclear Medicine.

In 2017 and 2019, she worked as a part-time assistant at the Department of Nuclear Medicine, Metabolic Therapy and Radiotherapy. In 2020, she was appointed as a full-time assistant professor, and in 2022, she was promoted to Chief Assistant Professor.

In May 2018, she was enrolled as a PhD student with a dissertation titled “The Role of 18F-FDG PET/CT in the Diagnostic Algorithm for Malignant Epithelial Tumors of the Head and Neck." In January 2022, she successfully defended her doctoral thesis and was awarded the academic degree of Doctor.

She has participated in training courses organized by the IAEA in Cyprus (2015) and ESOR in Bulgaria (2019), as well as in the Balkan School of Nuclear Medicine by the EANM in Bulgaria (2012 and 2016). She has contributed as an author and co-author of presentations and posters at numerous national and international congresses held in Austria and Germany.

She participated in the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) Congresses in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023; in the 6th Balkan Congress of Nuclear Medicine in Sofia in 2017; in the RAD Conference in Budva in 2017; and in the Otorhinolaryngology Congress in Germany in 2020.

She is the author and co-author of full-text scientific articles published in both Bulgarian and international journals.​

She was part of the team that introduced Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography (PET/CT) in Bulgaria in 2009.
