Chief Assistant Professor Maria Ivanova graduated from the Postgraduate Medical Institute– Varna in 1997 with a degree in Pharmaceutical Assistant.
In 2004, she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar".
In 2005, she completed a Master's degree in Applied Psychology at the same university.
In 2018, she graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Medical University "Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" – Varna, as a Master of Pharmacy.
In 2023, she was awarded a PhD after defending her dissertation on "Occupational Burnout and the Development of the Pharmaceutical Profession".
As of 2024, she holds a medical specialty in Organization and Economics of Distribution and Pharmacy Practice.
She has completed additional qualification courses in cognitive-behavioral and positive psychotherapy, as well as art therapy techniques for working with both children and adults.
Between 2011 and 2012, she worked as a psychologist at the “Mother and Baby" Unit in Varna. She has extensive professional experience as a pharmacist in community pharmacies.
Teaching Activity
In 2019, she was appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Organization and Economics of Pharmacy at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Medical University – Varna. Since 2024, she has held the academic position of Chief Assistant Professor in the same department.
She teaches practical classes in the following subjects:
- Social Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Legislation
- Medical Devices (for students in the Pharmacy program)
