Sonya Nedelcheva graduated from the High School of Economics "Dr. Ivan Bogorov" - Varna in 2008. She has a bachelor's degree from 2012 and a master's degree from 2013 in "Healthcare Management" from the Medical University "Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" - Varna. She worked as a quality and accreditation expert in the Department of Quality Management and Accreditation, Medical University "Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" - Varna from 2013 to 2021. She is a Honorary Lecturer in "Social Medicine" during the academic year 2016/2017, and since the academic year 2017/2018 she has been an Assistant Professor at the Department of "Social Medicine and Healthcare Organization". In 2024 she defended her dissertation on the topic "Opportunities to optimize childcare in early childhood in Bulgaria" under the doctoral program "Public Health Management". Since 2025, she has been a chief assistant professor at the Department of Social Medicine and Health Care Organization.
