A lecture course and an interactive workshop, organised by the Assistant Pharmacist Training Sector at the Medical College of MU-Varna, were held on 3rd October 2025 in Lecture Room 104 of the Faculty of Pharmacy.
The guest lecturer at the event was Prof. Carsten Erhard from Trinity College Dublin, who introduced the participants to the physiology of the respiratory system and the possibilities for delivering medicinal substances to the lungs.

Following the lecture part, students from MU-Varna were involved in a practical workshop. Within three hours, the participants took on the role of entrepreneurs, creating their own pharmaceutical companies, the purpose of which was the development of a new medicinal product for application in the lungs.

Each team had to choose a medicinal substance, determine the appropriate method of application, as well as draw up a marketing strategy for the development of the product. At the end of the workshop, the newly established companies presented their concepts to a jury, which assessed the creativity and practical value of the projects.

In recognition of their active participation, team spirit, and innovative way of thinking, all students were awarded certificates of participation.
