Lecture on intellectual property will be held at MU-Varna on 25 June under the MUVE-TEAM project

On 25 June 2025, at 14:00, a lecture on Intellectual Property - Legal Protection, Registration and Commercialisation of Intellectual Property will be held in Auditorium II of MU-Varna. The lecture is organised within the project No BG-RRP-2.004-0009-C02 'Increasing Translational Achievements in Medicine (MUVE-TEAM)', funded by the European Union – Next Generation EU.

Intellectual property will become increasingly important for higher education institutions, including MU-Varna, as it will make it possible to protect and commercialise research, generate revenue and contribute to societal progress. By securing intellectual property rights, MU-Varna will be able to promote innovation, attract funding and ensure that scientific discoveries benefit society.

Lecturer of the event will be adv. Stoyan Radkov – European Patent Attorney, representative of the Unified Patent Court and owner of an independent intellectual property law firm based in Bulgaria and the UK. Stoyan Radkov is a highly qualified European patent attorney with extensive commercial experience working for international pharmaceutical companies.

Adv. Radkov advises a wide range of clients on the full spectrum of global patents, including prosecution, document preparation, validity, objections and appeals, infringement statements, international litigation, patent strategy, freedom of activity, status analysis and licensing negotiations. He has the right to appear before the European Patent Office (EPO in Munich and The Hague), UKIPO and the Unified Patent Court (UPC).
