The Physicians at the Neurosurgery Clinic at UMHAT "St. Marina"–Varna with New Cutting-Edge Equipment

Neuronavigation with innovative technology, a new operating table with all accessories for neurosurgical interventions in children and adults, intraoperative ultrasound for completely harmless imaging diagnostics, and a robotic digital C-arm for 3D image reconstruction are the latest acquisitions at the Neurosurgery Clinic at UMHAT "St. Marina" - Varna.

Neuronavigation is an innovative technology introduced in medicine. It allows neurosurgeons to achieve exceptional precision and to have gentle and safe access in patients with brain and spinal tumours and vascular pathology. The new neurosurgical operating table is equipped with absolutely all accessories necessary for interventions in children and adults. It enables specialists to perform the entire spectrum of craniocerebral and spinal surgery with the utmost quality of treatment, comparable to the most advanced clinics in the world. Thanks to the C-arm, the dose of X-ray radiation exposure to patients is minimised, and the image quality is very high, allowing for precise visualisation of the surgical field.

"An operating room of the future!", this is how the Head of the Clinic, Prof. Dr. Yavor Enchev, defined the opportunities that the new equipment provides to the highly specialised team of neurosurgeons at University Hospital "St. Marina"–Varna. You can find out more information on the advantages in the video available here.

Thanks to the high technology equipment, the Neurosurgery Clinic at UMHAT “St. Marina" – Varna, is consolidating its position as a leading centre in the country providing the entire scope of neurosurgical interventions.
