Seventy-eight graduates from the Class of 2025 of the Faculty of Dental Medicine at MU-Varna took the Hippocratic Oath and were awarded their diplomas at a solemn ceremony, held at the Festival and Congress Centre. Sixteen of the graduates have completed their studies with excellent grades. The student with the Highest Academic Distinction of the Class is Dr. Maria Dacheva.
The Rector Prof. Dimitar Raykov congratulated the young Dental Doctors with the words, “The diploma you are receiving is a symbol of your perseverance, dedication, and willpower. Plenty of sleepless nights, hardships, and strenuous work lie behind it, but also the yearning to become a part of a noble and humane profession. Dental Medicine today is a world of innovation and high technology. But it is also a vocation that requires humanity, ethics and mercy. Remember that behind each and every smile you bring back, there is a human destiny!" The Rector wished the graduates health, inspiration and never to forget that they have a profession that brings back hope.
On behalf of her colleagues Dr. Maria Dacheva extended gratitude to the academic management and the lecturers for their dedication, shared knowledge and expertise. “Let this day be a symbol of a new beginning—the beginning of a journey in which we will proudly hold the title of Doctor of Dental Medicine, pursue continuous improvement, uphold the high standards of the profession, and contribute to the advancement of both Medicine and the society," she addressed her colleagues.
Dr. Petya Stoyanova, Chair of the Student Council of Medical University - Varna in 2023-2025, was awarded a special plaque for her energy, initiative and personal example, leaving a lasting mark in the student community. Awards for active sports activities were awarded to Dr. Karla Flug, Dr. Nuray Niyaziev, Dr. Patrick Creimborg, Dr. Plamen Petkov and Dr. Vlad Mihaylov.
During the festive programme, Christiana Nakovska, a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Dental Medicine at Medical University-Varna, greeted the alumni with musical performances.
