The Vice–Rector for Science and Research Prof. Dr. Violeta Yotova, the Director of the Research Institute Prof. Dr. Anton Tonchev and scientists from MU-Varna participated at the national tour “The Entrepreneur Way" of Sofia Tech Park, which took place in Varna Municipality on 11 April 2024. At the event, the incubation programme of Sofia Tech Park “South East European Innovators Program" (SEEIP) was presented. The program is intended for representatives of start-up, small and medium-sized companies, scientists who want to commercialise their developments, entrepreneurs, people with business ideas, as well as high school students and students.
In his exposé, Prof. Dr. Anton Tonchev summarised the innovation activities of the scientists at MU-Varna, highlighting the cooperation of the University with Sofia Tech Park in developing a panel of university innovation projects, targeted at creating market products.
During the meeting, which was attended by representatives of broad academic circles from the city, the factors and conditions that underpin the start-up ecosystem in our country, the quality of the Bulgarian start-ups, and the attractiveness of our country to investors and venture capital funds were discussed.
