The training in the specialty "Dental Technician" at the Medical College - Varna began in 1974. The graduated dental technician is a specialist with a multidisciplinary qualification and has the opportunity to work in independent medical and technical laboratories in our country and abroad.
Students have the opportunity to participate in student mobility under the "Erasmus +" program.
The practical training of students is carried out in modern facilities with the assistance of proven specialists. The curricula and teaching methods are updated in accordance with the trends in the development of the specialty. The material base for training at the Medical College - Varna is modern and well-equipped.
The activity in the specialty has undergone significant transformations in recent years. Digital technologies provide new opportunities related to the optimization and automation of certain aspects of the work process. Machines simulate human intelligence, but nevertheless, in order to obtain the necessary and expected result, quality training and very good basic knowledge and skills in the field of dental technology are needed.
Graduates of the specialty can continue their education at the bachelor's or master's degree in the specialties "Healthcare Management" and "Health Management and Medical and Social Care".
After the program accreditation held in 2024, the specialty "Dental Technician" at the Medical College - Varna received a high score - 9.09.
Scientific research
Students and lecturers from the Faculty of Dental Technician traditionally participate in scientific sessions and training seminars to improve professional qualifications. Since 2012, they have regularly taken part in the scientific sessions organized by the college.
