He was born on 4th March 1953. He graduated Medicine from Medical University-Varna in 1989. He worked as a therapist in Dobrich. From 1991 he was an Assistant Professor at the Department of Internal Medicine. From 1993 he was a Research Associate, and later on an Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychiatry and Medical Psychology. Acquired specialties: "Internal Medicine" 1984 and "Psychiatry" in 1988. He defended his doctoral dissertation, entitled "Psychotropic Drugs in the Complex Treatment of Bronchial Asthma" in 1990. Since 2000 he has been an Associate Professor at the Department of Psychiatry and Medical Psychology. He acquired a Master's degree in Health Management in 2001. Since 2002 he has been an Administrative Director of "St. Marina" Hospital in Varna. His research is focused on the field of Psychosomatics, Clinical Psychiatry and Psychopharmacology .
He has more than 100 reports and publications at national and international forums and journals. His scientific work is in the field of Psychosomatics, Clinical Psychiatry and Psychopharmacology. He takes part in the editorial boards of several journals.
