Third International Conference “Health Care – Contribution to Quality of Life”

The Third International Conference "Health Care – Contribution to Quality of Life" was launched on 7 June. The event was organised by the Department of Health Care at the Faculty of Public Health of MU – Varna, together with UMHAT "St. Marina" – Varna and the Faculty of Nursing Care "Hamidie" at the University of Health Sciences – Istanbul (Turkey).

The Conference was focused on four major topics – contemporary trends in Health Care, clinical aspects in Health Care, history and development of medical professions and communication in medical practice. More than 300 participation applications had been submitted by Bulgarian and foreign participants.

The scientific event has united two of the leading Balkan medical universities in health sciences in Istanbul (Turkey) and Medical University – Varna (Bulgaria), in the light of four forthcoming anniversaries – 60 years of Medical University – Varna, 35 years – UMHAT "St. Marina", 20 years of the Faculty of Public Health and 15 years of the Department of Health Care.

The Dean of FPH Prof. Antonia Dimova delivered a congratulatory address on behalf of the Rector of the University Prof. Dr. Valentin Ignatov, "I highly appreciate the efforts and ambitions of every one of you who pursue your mission and goals. It is through meetings like this one that you contribute to the exchange of information, new concepts and experience in modern practice. This International Conference is a step forward to outline and build on the trends in the development of Health Care, to broaden our horizons, to set higher goals and to seek opportunities to achieve them."
