Today Medical University "Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" – Varna celebrates the 60th anniversary of its establishment!
Happy Holiday!
During
its 60-year history, MU – Varna has established itself as one of the
most prestigious higher education institutions in Bulgaria – a major
pillar of medical education and health sciences in the country. I am
proud that today 6 280 students are being trained at four Faculties,
one College and three Affiliates in 28 Programmes. More than 34 000
medical and dental doctors, pharmacists and health professionals have
graduated from MU – Varna, and amongst them, there are bright
personalities who stand out with their impressive professional careers
in Bulgaria and around the world.
Today
is a special day when we pay a well-deserved tribute and respect to the
persons who have laid the foundations, built the image and blazed a
trail from the very first step in 1961 to today's state-of-the-art and
high-tech University. With enthusiasm, strong will and dedication over
the past 60 years, new Faculties, Departments and Affiliates have been
established, hospitals and new clinics, research centres have been
inaugurated, new training facilities have been built, modern training
methods have been introduced, medical structures have been modernised.
Each
Rector and his/her team have contributed to and have left a bright
trail in upholding the academic values. Today I feel deeply honoured to
tell them:

Dear students,
You
are the most important part of the life of Medical University – Varna!
You are the hope because you are outlining the future and creating
dreams! I wish you to confidently move forward and with an insatiable
thirst, to acquire the medical knowledge and experience from your
lecturers, and when you step on the professional stage, to be the
leaders of tomorrow's prosperous society!
