Currently at UMHAT "Saint Marina" – Varna, on the territory of 18 COVID wards, 423 hospital beds are available for patients with confirmed or suspected coronavirus infection (including for persons under 18 years of age), 59 of them - intended for intensive care treatment of coronavirus patients. Between 05 - 11 April, 817 patients have been at the emergency centres of the infectious diseases clinics and the emergency centres of UMHAT "Saint Marina", 416 of them – confirmed or possible or probable coronavirus cases.
565 patients have been treated at the COVID structures over the period, 74 of them – coming from other districts. 62 patients have been treated at intensive care units. 230 coronavirus patients have recovered over the last week, and the number of the deceased is 50. Along with the treatment of coronavirus patients the hospital provides emergency medical care in line with the profiles of the other clinical structures to all patients suffering from other diseases.
UMHAT "Saint Marina" – Varna has been provided with the full range of disinfectants and protective equipment. It also has the necessary quantities of medicines and consumables.
The hospital management will inform the citizens of Varna and the district on the real situation at the medical institution on a weekly basis.
