For more than two decades, the Science Fund (SF) at Medical University - Varna has been playing a key role in supporting young scientists (undergraduate and PhD students) in the implementation of scientific projects of institutional importance. Over the last three years alone, 81 projects have been submitted, of which 60 have been approved for funding. A remarkable 58% of them are aimed at supporting PhD students, which is a clear indicator of the high level of training and commitment to science of the young talents at the University.
MU - Varna takes pride in its well-established support system for young researchers, facilitated by the experts at the Science Department. Their dedication and professionalism contribute to the University being a leading institution in scientific activities and innovation.
Over the coming years, the activities of the Fund are expected to develop and enhance in response to the increasing European requirements and standards. A new competition session, Autumn 2025, is coming up, which will soon open up even more opportunities for development, academic excellence and recognition of young scientists.
