On 11 February 2025 at 10:30 a.m., at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Auditorium 104, Prof. Héctor Goicoechea from the Faculty of Biochemistry and Biological Sciences, Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Santa Fe, Argentina, will deliver a lecture on Multidimensional Data Applied to Agri-Food Analysis. Enhancing Analytical Capabilities.
The event is hosted by Scientific Group 3.1.2. Smart under project № BG-RRP-2.004-0009-C02 “Medical University–Varna: Enhancement of Translational Achievements in Medicine (MUVE-TEAM)", members of the Departments of Physics and Biophysics, Pharmaceutical Technologies and Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy.
Within Prof. Goikoechea's visit to MU-Varna, there will be a training related to chemometric modelling of multidimensional data obtained from Infrared spectrometers and Raman spectrometers, which equipment is available to the Smart Scientific Group. The training will contribute to a more effective development of new methods of analysis of pharmaceutical products.
Prof. Héctor Goicoechea works in the field of development of analytical methods based on spectroscopy and separation combined with chemometrics. He has published more than 250 articles in renowned international journals and has supervised 13 doctoral dissertations. His scientific publications in Scopus are 225, with h index 46, and a number of citations in the databases extending to 7 498.
