The 29th National Conference on Neurosurgery with International Participation Will Be Held near Varna

The 29th National Conference of the Bulgarian Society of Neurosurgery with international participation will be held in Varna from 30th September to 2nd October 2022. The Neurosurgery Clinic at UMHAT "St. Marina" – Varna is the organiser of the scientific forum, which will take place at Astor Garden Hotel in Saints Constantine and Helena Resort.  

Robotic neurosurgery, deep brain stimulation in the treatment of Parkinson's disease, a three-dimensional photorealistic atlas of neurosurgery with visualisation through augmented virtual reality and other current topics of modern neurosurgical patient care will be among the main topics that are the core of the discussions at the scientific event.

In addition to the Bulgarian neurosurgeons, leading specialists from the United States, Germany and the UK will participate in the forum. During the event the Neurosurgery Clinic at UMHAT "St. Marina" – Varna will mark 11 years since its establishment. The ambitions of the Head of the Clinic Prof. Dr. Yavor Enchev and his team are targeted at maintaining the highest level of neurosurgical treatment through continuous professional improvement.

Based on the achieved clinical, scientific and academic results, the Neurosurgery Clinic at UMHAT "St. Marina" – Varna, which is in no way inferior to the most state-of-the-art European, American and Asian clinics, has established itself among the leading neurosurgical centres in the country. The neurosurgical operating room has last generation equipment, which is unique to the country, and the subject of treatment comprises all neurosurgical diseases of the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nerves in all age groups. Minimal invasiveness and maximum effectiveness are amongst the major goals of the medical team in the treatment of vascular diseases, central nervous system tumours, degenerative spine diseases, congenital central nervous system malformations and trauma.
