First International Congress on Paediatric Neurosurgery to be Hosted in Varna

MU-Varna together with the Bulgarian Society of Paediatric Neurosurgery organises the First International Congress on Paediatric Neurosurgery, which is to be held on 6th and 7th June 2025 at Golden Tulip Hotel. The scientific event will bring together leading experts from Europe and Bulgaria in the field of Paediatric Neurosurgery and the related medical specialties. The Congress will provide an exceptional opportunity for exchange of knowledge and expertise between renowned international and Bulgarian scientists. It will be a key event for all specialists working in the field of Neurosciences.

The scientific forum is organised under the project № BG-RRP-2.004-0009 “Medical University–Varna: Enhancement of Translational Excellence Achievement in Medicine (MUVE-TEAM)" - item 3.3. International cooperation in the strategic areas of the higher education institution from the Strategic Research and Innovation Program for the Development of MU-Varna.

The congress program, scheduled for 7th June, includes the following highlights:

  • Lectures by top experts, recognised specialists who will present the latest advancement and techniques in the field of Paediatric Neurosurgery, covering all facets of this complex discipline, accompanied by some practical advice.
  • Special Workshop on Three-Dimensional Anatomy of the White Matter of the Brain - Hands-on training that will allow participants to deepen their knowledge and practical skills in Neuroanatomy.
  • Discussion sessions - Opportunity to discuss clinical cases and share good medical practice among specialists from different fields.

The Congress is open to all young scientists from Bulgaria working in the field of Neurosciences. They will have the chance to meet and exchange ideas with acknowledged professionals. This is an exceptional opportunity for the professional development of young doctors and students, and last but not least for international networking.

The event is targeted at a wide range of specialists - neurosurgeons, neurologists, radiologists, radiotherapists and haematologists who work with children, physiotherapists and paediatricians who provide care for children with neurological problems, as well as medical students who would like to expand their knowledge in the field of Paediatric Neurosurgery.
