Currently at UMHAT "Saint Marina", 423 hospital beds are available for patients with confirmed or suspected coronavirus infection (including persons under 18 years of age), 59 of the beds - intended for intensive care treatment of coronavirus patients. Between 29 March - 04 April, 909 patients have been at the emergency centres of the infectious diseases clinics and the emergency centres of UMHAT "Saint Marina", 529 of them – confirmed or possible or probable coronavirus cases.
604 patients have been treated at the COVID structures over the period, 75 of them – coming from other districts. 65 patients have been treated at intensive care units. 240 coronavirus patients have recovered over the last week, and the number of the deceased is 65. Along with the treatment of coronavirus patients the hospital provides emergency medical care in line with the profiles of the other clinical structures to all patients suffering from other diseases.
UMHAT "Saint Marina" – Varna has been provided with the full range of disinfectants and protective equipment. It also has the necessary quantities of medicines and consumables.
1171 patients have been at the COVID departments of the hospital in March. 19 clinics at the medical institution have been restructured in COVID units in order to meet the challenges resulting from the COVID-19 crisis. Besides the treatment of coronavirus patients with confirmed or suspected COVID - 19, the hospital provides emergency medical and oncological care to all patients according to the disease profile. 2014 professionals have been working at the hospital, 598 of them - on the front line in the fight against the COVID infection.
The hospital management will inform the citizens of Varna and the district on the real situation at the medical institution on a weekly basis.
