Medical University "Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov"-Varna welcomed a delegation from the National Defence University of Azerbaijan on 20th June 2023. Among the guests were Colonel of the Medical Service Chingiz Allazov – Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Major of the Medical Service Bakhtiyar Aliyev – Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, accompanied by Captain (Navy) 1st rank Prof. Dr. Kalin Kalinov – Deputy-Chief of Educational and Scientific Activities at Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy.
The guests were welcomed by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Albena Kerekovska and Prof. Dr. Yoto Yotov – Dean of the Faculty of Medicine. Prof. Kerekovska presented MU - Varna as a University boasting 62 years of history and traditions, offering its students high quality education, research activities and participation in projects and diverse public initiatives organised by the University. The meeting continued with a brief presentation of the training process in the field of Military Doctor, launched six years ago, which is a joint project of Medical Universities-Varna with Naval Academy "N. Y. Vaptsarov" and Military Medical Academy-Sofia. The first Class of Military Doctors is about to graduate at the end of November 2023.
During the working meeting the opportunities for academic cooperation, exchange of undergraduate and postgraduate students, joint participation at conferences and scientific forums, joint publication activities, etc. were discussed.
At the end of its visit to MU-Varna, the delegation from Azerbaijan visited the studio of University Television MU-Vi.tv, the library and the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology, where Assoc. Prof. Dr. Stoyan Pavlov and Dr. Petar Valchanov presented 3D training in Anatomy.
