Class 2026 Graduates from the Faculty of Dental Medicine at MU–Varna

A total of 100 graduates from the Class of 2026 of the Faculty of Dental Medicine at Medical University–Varna took the Hippocratic Oath and were awarded their diplomas at a formal graduation ceremony, held at the Festival and Congress Centre.

Ten graduates completed their studies with excellent academic results. The top graduate of the class is Dr. Ivanina Hristova, while Dr. Nathalie Godon achieved the highest academic distinction in the English-Language Training Programme.

The Rector of MU–Varna, Prof. Dimitar Raykov, DSc, congratulated the newly qualified dental practitioners and encouraged them to intertwine professional excellence with a compassionate approach to their patient.

“The knowledge you have acquired at Medical University–Varna will serve as the foundation upon which you will build your future careers. Digital technologies and state-of-the-art equipment will continue to transform the field of Dental Medicine, but they will not alter what matters most – the trust between the physician and the patient. Always remember that behind every clinical case lies the personal story of an individual – with their fears, hopes, and expectations. Be meticulous in your work, and always unite professional excellence with empathy!" the Rector stated.

On behalf of her fellow graduates, Dr. Ivanina Hristova extended gratitude to the academic management and the faculty members for their dedication and for sharing their knowledge and expertise. “Let us never lose our curiosity and our thirst for knowledge! Let us never lose our humanity!" she appealed to her fellow graduates.

“Thanks to Medical University–Varna, we leave with new knowledge, new skills, lifelong friendships, countless memories. And because of all the hard work that each one of us has invested we are leaving with a degree that we can be incredibly proud of!" said Dr. Nathalie Godon in her address.

During the ceremony, it was announced that the Maximi Meriti Causa distinction had been conferred upon Prof. Dr. Rosen Kolarov. Initiated by the Dean of the Faculty of Dental Medicine, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Georgi Panchev, the award recognises Prof. Kolarov's outstanding contribution to the development of the Faculty, as well as his significant achievements in healthcare and medical education in Bulgaria.

Dr. Niya Atanasova, Dr. Georgiy Petrov and Dr. Yoana Chorbadzhieva were honoured in recognition of their active involvement in sports. The Student Council of MU–Varna also presented awards for outstanding student engagement to Dr. Panteleymon Trpchevski and Dr. Mariya Todorova.

The celebratory programme involved a performance by Maria Lilova, a second-year Dental Medicine student, and the Diana Student Dance Ensemble of MU–Varna.
