In connection with the Decision of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria on declaring a state of emergency in the country, given the increase in the number of confirmed cases of infected with Coronavirus and the Order by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Valentin Ignatov, MD, PhD, training in all programmes of MU - Varna has been completely shifted to electronic environment as of 14th March 2020.
Training is conducted according to an approved schedule via the University electronic Blackboard system, as well as using other technical means and platforms, introduced in the training process. Each student and lecturer at MU - Varna is provided with permanent access to the Blackboard platform. Instructions for transition to online training are provided, including the use of Forums (discussions) and a virtual classroom. Continuous support for all students and lecturers from the Electronic and Distance Learning Centre has been provided.
The curriculum is provided in an electronic environment after flexible restructuring and assessment of the options. Students are assigned tasks that are performed entirely in an electronic environment and without the need to leave their homes or gather physically into groups. The Library of MU - Varna has provided lecturers and students with electronic service and remote access to the necessary resources.
Conducting state internships at clinical facilities has been postponed, as well as all exams (including state exams) if they cannot be conducted entirely in an electronic environment. All students will be informed on the exam schedule on the University website.
We would like to remind you that the student administrative services are performed entirely electronically via the WEB Student system and/or by email to the relevant Dean's Office/Student Affairs Office.
The management of MU - Varna appeals to all students to stay in isolation and not to gather in groups, not to travel, and to comply with all recommendations of the competent authorities. Students are not allowed on the territory or at the bases of the University.
Thank you all for your efforts, commitment and motivation to cope with this dynamically changing situation!
