MU–Varna Commemorates the 65th Anniversary of the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases and the 25th Anniversary of the Faculty of Medicine with a Solemn Event and Scientific Conference


Medical University–Varna will celebrate two landmark anniversaries—the 65th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases and the 25th Anniversary of the Founding of the Faculty of Medicine. Through a series of ceremonial and scientific events to be held from 2nd to 4th July 2026, the academic community of the University will pay tribute to its long-standing academic traditions and its contribution to the advancement of medical science, while placing particular emphasis on innovation and the future of medical education and healthcare.

On 2nd July 2026, at 5:00 p.m., a solemn celebration dedicated to 65 years of medical science in Varna will be held in the First Auditorium of the Rectorate Building. Commemorating the anniversaries of the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases and the Faculty of Medicine, the event will bring together current and former faculty members, alumni, students, and guests to honour the generations of educators and physicians who have contributed to the development of medical education, science and clinical practice in Varna.

On 3rd and 4th July, the scientific conference “Multidisciplinary Alliance:  Path to Personalised Oncology – Science, Practice, Future" will take place. The forum will bring together lecturers, scientists and clinicians from MU-Varna and prominent specialists in the field of oncology. They will present the latest advances in the diagnostics, treatment and monitoring of oncological diseases.

A central topic in the scientific programme will be the multidisciplinary approach as the cornerstone of personalised oncology care. Across four thematic sessions, the emphases will be placed on the latest advances in diagnostic imaging, surgery, radiation oncology, genetics, cardio-oncology, immunotherapy, oncohaematology, and other key areas of modern medicine.
