The most
innovative projects in the field of the SPA & HEALTH industry were awarded
on 24 May in Domburg, the Netherlands, at a ceremony on the occasion of
conferring the European SPA Association (ESPA) awards for 2018.
The Master's
program of the Medical University - Varna "Rehabilitation, talassotherapy,,
wellness and SPA" received a special prize from the jury, composed of
experts from all over the world. The prize was in the category of innovative SPA
research and education.
The Master's
program "Rehabilitation, talassotherapy, wellness and SPA" at the
Medical University – Varna started in 2014 and is designed to meet the need for
a rapid development of the health and wellness markets in Bulgaria and the
specific needs for highly qualified professionals in the sector. The program
enables graduates to broaden their knowledge in the field of rehabilitation,
sea therapy, wellness and spa, to increase their qualification and professional
skills in the field of management and marketing of hospital and outpatient
establishments and rehabilitation care centers, balneological centers, wellness
and spa centers.
The long-standing
partner of the Medical University of Varna in the practical training of
students - "Aquahouse Thermal & Beach" Thermal Complex, located
in "St. St. Konstantin and Elena", was also awarded for innovative
spa complex of the year at the ceremony in Domburg.
The cooperation
with ESPA, BUBSPA and the resort "St. St. Konstantin and Elena" is in
line with the strategy of the Medical University - Varna to develop profiled
international partnerships and active communication with business as key
factors for achieving better education and health and improving the quality of
life.
