A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Medical University – Varna and Chepelare Municipality. It took place at Zornitsa Holiday House in the Rhodopean village of Zornitsa, and Prof. Dr. Valentin Ignatov, PhD – Rector of Medical University "Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" – Varna and the Mayor of Chepelare Mr. Boran Hadzhiev signed the document.
The aim of the Memorandum is to create conditions for improving the socio-economic environment in the Municipality of Chepelare through the development of healthcare and medicine, promotion of tourism and the cultural and historical heritage of the region. The Parties declare their support for deepening their relations and expending the sectors with the greatest potential for development – tourism, education, healthcare and medicine.
Medical University – Varna and Chepelare Municipality will cooperate in the development of the human capital of Chepelare Municipality through initiatives targeted at enhancing the knowledge and skills of the young and active citizens in the field of tourism and healthcare and will work for creating an environment for their modern ingenuity, accomplishment and prerequisites for European competitiveness.
As a sign of appreciation for the fruitful cooperation, the Rector of MU – Varna Prof. Dr. Valentin Ignatov awarded an Honorary Diploma and a Plaque of Merit to the Mayor of Chepelare Municipality Mr. Boran Hadzhiev.
