MU–Varna officially opened the new academic year for international students in the presence of the Rector and the academic management, faculty members, students, parents and guests. A total of 405 newly admitted first-year students from more than 50 countries are crossing the threshold of the University in the new academic year. They will be studying in the English-Language Training Programmes in Medicine and Dental Medicine at MU–Varna.

The Rector of MU–Varna, Prof. Dr. Dimitar Raykov, welcomed the newly admitted international students with the following words, “Today, I have the privilege of welcoming young people from all over the world who have chosen Bulgaria and Varna to embark on one of the most important journeys of their lives – to dedicate themselves to Medicine and to caring for people. I hope that you will discover a place you can truly call home—surrounded by friends, with people upon whom you can rely, and with the sense of belonging to one great academic family. From this day forward, Bulgaria becomes a part of your biography and of your personal story. Fill their pages with new knowledge, genuine friendships, and memorable experiences in our wonderful country!"

The first- and sixth-year international students Niki Gocheva and Mohamed Shanah joined in wishing the newly admitted students every success on their journey into Medicine and Dental Medicine. The festive programme involved talented singers and dancers from the Bulgarian- and English-Language Training Programmes of MU–Varna. They congratulated the first-year students with performances of Bulgarian folk music, pop music, original compositions and Indian dances.
