With
a solemn water ceremony and a public prayer for health, served by Father Yasen,
a new, modern, furnished and equipped seminar and lecture hall was inaugurated at
the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology on 14th August, at
St. Marina University Hospital in Varna. The ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Zhaneta
Georgieva - Executive Director of the hospital, Prof. Dr. Krasimir Ivanov -
Rector of Medical University – Varna, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of
St. Marina University Hospital, doctors from the Department. 
The new auditorium is named in honour of Dr. Victor Minchev - one of the first orthopedic traumatologists at the hospital and one of the pioneers and organizers of the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology at the University Hospital, which provides treatment for patients across the whole country now.
