UMHAT "St. Marina" – Varna marked its patron saint's day – 17th July with a solemn blessing for health and welfare served by His Eminence Yoan, the Metropolitan of Varna and Veliki Preslav, and a rich musical and artistic program. The guests were welcomed to the sound of the Navy brass band music in the park in front of the southern entrance of the hospital. Patients, medical professionals and lots of friends celebrated the holiday and congratulated the management of the medical institution.
Warm thanks were extended to all physicians, nurses and administrative staff for their everyday care and professional attitude towards patients. Words of gratitude were expressed to the entire personnel of the medical institution for the resilience, strong will and discipline demonstrated in the performance of their duties during the extraordinary epidemiological situation triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Executive Director Prof. Dr. Silva Andonova congratulated the attendees and awarded honorary diplomas and plaques to Prof. Dr. Radoslav Radev, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yordan Radkov, Maria Marinova and Zinaida Ivanova for their flawless work, high achievements, proven good faith, loyalty, dedication, personal commitment and professionalism in the performance of their duties.
This year UMHAT "St. Marina" – Varna also celebrates the 35th anniversary of its establishment. Talented children of employees of the hospital, young patients who are undergoing treatment at the hospital, students from the dance ensemble of Medical University – Varna, winners of scores of national and international music competitions for children, patients and friends of UMHAT "St. Marina" – Varna, students, staff and lecturers participated in the festive program. The youngest guests of the holiday had a wonderful time with plenty of games, balloons, clowns and a kite workshop.
