The second workshop in the series "Biomedical Engineering" is scheduled for 27th June. The forum is organized by MU-Varna within the framework of project No BG-RRP-2.004-0009-C02 Enhancement of Translational Excellence Achievement in Medicine (MUVE-TEAM), funded by the European Union–NextGenerationEU. The opening begins at 10:00 am, in First Auditorium at the Faculty of Dental Medicine.
During the event, leading scientists from Lithuania and Bulgaria are going to deliver lectures on metal materials with application in medicine, new types of coatings for surface modification of titanium implants and medical mechatronic devices. The audience will also be introduced to modern methodologies and equipment for studying the composition and properties of different groups of biomaterials.
The programme includes a meeting of the guest lecturers with the management of MU-Varna and a round table discussion on the application of modern CAD systems for manufacturing personalized implants and virtual models for surgical interventions in General and Dental Medicine.
Guest lecturers at the workshop are Assoc. Prof. Rasa Kandrotaite Janutiene and Eng. Darius Mazeika, PhD from Kaunas University of Technology, Assoc. Prof. Vladimir Dunchev from Technical University - Gabrovo and Prof. Maria P. Nikolova from "Angel Kanchev" University of Ruse.
