The Mayor of Dobrich Mr. Yordan Yordanov and the Rector of Medical University – Varna Prof. Dr. Valentin Ignatov had a working meeting on the intentions of the Municipality of Dobrich to open an Affiliate of the University in Dobrich. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Mayor for Humanitarian Activities Dr. Emiliya Baeva, Eng. Deyan Grancharov – Assistant Rector, Prof. Todorka Kostadinova – Director of International Cooperation, Accreditation and Quality Directorate and Prof. Sylvia Borisova – Head of the Department of Health Care at the Faculty of Public Health. This is a consecutive meeting focused on taking further actions targeted at establishing an Affiliate of the Medical University in Dobrich. Dr. Emiliya Baeva presented to the guests the available building facilities in Dobrich, where it is possible the educational institution to be located. It is about to be decided which of the proposed buildings is best suited to accommodate the Affiliate.
The Municipality of Dobrich pointed out that all necessary documents and regulatory requirements for opening an Affiliate of MU – Varna in Dobrich were being worked on. The project envisages training in the programmes of Nursing and Midwifery at the Affiliate.
