Young female scientists in the field of natural sciences from all over Bulgaria have the opportunity to apply for National Scholarships under the global programme "For Women in Science." The deadline for submitting applications is 31 March 2026, with three scholarships amounting to €7 000 each to be awarded this year.
The main criteria that female scientists must meet in order to be eligible for the 2026 Scholarship Programme are that they must be under 35 years of age, be doctoral students or have already defended their doctoral thesis, and be involved in research in the field of natural sciences. The application process is extremely simple and entirely on-line.
Applications shall be evaluated by an expert jury consisting of leading specialists in the field of natural sciences and representatives of the project partners. We would like to remind you that Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maria Levkova, lecturer at Medical University – Varna and specialist in Medical Genetics at UMHAT "St. Marina" – Varna, was one of the three winners in the 14th edition of the National Programme "For Women in Science".
