Following the signing of a Memorandum between Medical University – Varna and the Austrian American Foundation (Open Medical Institute, OMI), six postgraduate students at MU–Varna have been approved to participate in one-week intensive training courses in Salzburg in 2026.
The approved specialities are:
- Diagnostic Imaging
- Neurosurgery
- Internal Medicine
- Bone and Joint Surgery
- Paediatric Haematology and Oncology
- Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes
The training courses are part of the established educational programme of the Open Medical Institute (OMI) and are conducted with the participation of leading lecturers from prestigious universities and clinics in Europe and the USA. The 2026 programme comprises the relevant courses in Diagnostic Imaging, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics and Traumatology, as well as Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes, with clearly defined application dates and deadlines.
