This well-deserved salary increase of the more than 2 000 employees in the second largest hospital in Bulgaria stems from the high professionalism of the physicians, health care specialists and administrative staff, combined with state-of-the-art medical equipment, modern apparatus of the highest class, as well as the introduced cutting-edge methods of treatment. The combination of these factors allowed UMHAT "St. Marina" – Varna in 2022 to provide the necessary medical assistance to 50 307 patients from the country and abroad.
The hospital has successfully completed the 2022 financial year with excellent natural and value indicators. With the salary increase as of 1 January 2023, the monthly sum of money provided for salaries and insurance amounts to approximately BGN 4 950 000.00.
